Take a long look at our streets and busy roads, what do you see? Have you ever paused long enough to look in the blood-shot eyes of a homeless hungry man who sits still in the scorching sun all day begging for alms? Have you beheld the deep well of pain upon the face of that handicapped young man who has been robbed of his ability to be productive by a wicked twist of fate, and even behind the forced smile that some of them try to wear on their wrinkled faces, you could still see the scar of hurt from inside. Have you ever imagined if it were you who was sitting in that scorching sun?

Sometimes you even see innocent babies and kids forced to stay all day in the sun with their poverty-stricken mother begging for assistance to feed her poor kids. Is this how these people who are just as much as human as we are would continue to exist without living? Will there ever be an end to their sufferings? It probably makes you wonder what the government is doing. But then, what have you done too?

In response to the last question, what do you think of the existence of a well-structured facility, modestly furnished and equipped to give comfort and succour. Whose inhabitants would be freely nourished with balanced physical, mental and spiritual diets? Where they would be furnished with the knowledge, skills, education, finance and monitoring that would see many of them discovering purpose, leaving normal lives again and ultimately embracing Christ. And finally, whose inhabitants would be those neglected beggars, handicaps and the less-privileged on our streets?

We are talking about a free rehabilitation facility designed to cater for the spiritual, mental and physical needs of beggars, handicaps and the not-so-lucky ones among us. This is one of our major dreams. We desire to see a better world where certain people would not suffer marginalization simply because fate has not been very kind to them.

Although, we are not ignorant of the fact that various organizations including individuals, especially Christians and Muslims from time to time do provide food, clothing and give arms to these beggars but most of the time, the motive behind this action still points to self. Some do it as being instructed by their spiritual leaders so as to obtain favour from God. But we wonder where will these not-so-lucky beings end up in eternity even if their needs are met here, will they go to hell because no one takes the innitiative of preaching Christ to them or because of their deficiency ? We believe heaven is not only prepared or made for the able people alone, even Jesus gave a parable of a  certain who made a great supper and sent his servants to go call those who have been invited, but the invited guests refused and make excuses, this man was angry, he therefore ordered his servants to go to the streets and the highways and bring in the poor, the maimed, the halt and the blind to the supper. Luke 14 vs 16 – 24

In lieu of this, God helping us, we will put as many of them as possible in the relief home  where their daily needs can be met and most importantly minister salvation to them, so as to prepare them as well for the second coming of the Lord. – FOR GOD IS THE GOD OF BOTH THE ABLE AND THE DISABLED
